Greetings from Austin, Texas!
We are excited to officially announce that SteelRadio is producing a steel guitar festival and convention in early October 2026! The Austin Steel Guitar Fest (ASGF) will take place Thursday, October 1st, Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd. This is an indoor event.

There will be 2 days of performances on 2 stages Friday and Saturday, with seminars and a Welcome Party with live steel guitar music in the Marriott lounge on Thursday:
🎶 The Main Stage (Ballroom) with members of the SGHOF and "legacy" players along with the players making music and touring today.
🎶The Non-Pedal Stage featuring legacy and actively touring non-pedal players, along with dobro and slide guitar performers.

A variety of steel guitar vendors and manufacturers will be on-hand along with a selection of vendors from the vibrant and creative Austin Arts community! If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact SteelRadio.org@gmail.com. We are working on some other fun additions to the Fest - TBD on that for now, so stay tuned for updates!

On Saturday afternoon of the Fest the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame (SGHOF) (SGHOF), , a non-profit 501(c)(3) based in St. Louis, Missouri, will induct 3 new members. After a pause on inductions of 10 years, SteelRadio, the broadcast arm of the SGHOF, is thrilled to host this exciting event! Two of the inductees, Junior Brown and Lucky Oceans, will be performing during the Fest.

*IMPORTANT🚨If you are planning to stay at the Marriott, or one of the 3 accompanying Marriott properties located on the same campus as ASGF headquarters, please book your hotel reservations ASAP!
The ACL Music Festival is taking place the same weekend, with over 70K daily attendees. Hotel rooms for that weekend will sell out all over Austin, including the Marriott properties.

The ASGF will take place in the Austin Marriott South, and there are four additional Marriott properties side by side offering different pricing and accommodation options for the ASGF.

For Austin Steel Guitar Festival (ASGF) Hotel Booking: Official event dates for booking event rate are Thurs. 10/1 - Sun. 10/4/2026. For booking nights outside of those dates, the event rate will be honored, but the hotel will need to be contacted to assist with those bookings. The direct contact person is April Chau.
